Feb. 19, 2013
Sightline Interactive, a provider of payment services to the gaming industry, and its partner Vantiv have inked a deal with Northern California’s Colusa Casino to create a GPR prepaid card that works in tandem with the casino’s closed-loop loyatly card. The open-loop Discover-branded Loyalty Card Plus initially will be distributed to the casino’s “best customers,” who will receive personalized cards in the mail. Upon activating the open-loop card, Colusa customers will receive $50-$100 in free play for their loyalty card accounts. Customers also can sign up for the card at Colusa Casino, which is located north of Sacramento, with card delivery via mail in five to seven days.
Loyalty Card Plus is a GPR prepaid card program specifically designed for Colusa Casino. Using the open-loop GPR prepaid card, which runs on the Discover network, cardholders can make cash withdrawals (including ATM) or purchases within or outside the Colusa property for travel, dining, hotel and more at locations everywhere Discover cards are accepted.
For gaming purposes using the casino’s closed-loop loyalty card, users can transfer funds, in real-time, utilizing Sightline’s proprietary closed-loop SPAN network, to and from Brick & Mortar and Interactive (iGaming) Wagering Accounts for use at the cashier cage, table games, social gaming sites and iGaming sites.
“Our prepaid card program is a powerful new way for Colusa to reward its customers,” said Kirk Sanford, Sightline founder and CEO, who characterized the program as game-changing.
