Ingenico, a Paris-based POS terminal maker, today announced that subsidiary easycash Loyalty Solutions has developed a gift card for gas station company JET Tankstellen Austria GmbH, enabling the Phillips 66 subsidiary to replace paper vouchers. Customers can use the card to pay for gas purchases at the more than 140 JET gas stations in Austria.
The card may be loaded with any amount and cardholders can view the balance of their prepaid JET cards at jet-tankstellen.at. JET gas stations can use their existing POS systems equipped with special software. easycash Loyalty Solutions systems are used for payments authorization and processing, while the reporting function available for all transactions enables them to be transferred to JET’s accounting department, according to an announcement.
“easycash Loyalty Solutions has provided us with a comprehensive solution that has enabled us to redefine our gift voucher service,” said Gerhard Entholzer, gift card sales manager at JET. “Customer service is a factor that really makes a difference, even in the competitive petroleum market.”
Earlier this year, easycash parent company Ingenico announced it was acquiring payment processor Ogone Partners for EUR360 million (US$469 million) in an effort to become a “one-stop-shop” for multichannel payment solutions.
