UKGCVA, SVS Launch Christmas Design Competition (June 27, 2013)
June 27, 2013
Christmas is coming early for children in the U.K., who have the chance to see their own gift card design in stores this holiday season. The UK Gift Card and Voucher Association (UKGCVA), the trade body representing the U.K.’s £4.7 billion voucher, gift card and stored value solutions industry, has launched a Christmas gift card and voucher design competition for children up to 18 years old. The competition, sponsored by Stored Value Solutions (SVS), is designed to increase awareness of the use of gift cards and vouchers as a gift from children to parents and caregivers at Christmas. Students ages five to 18 may enter gift card or voucher designs along the theme of “What Christmas means to me.”
Entries are due July 27 and will be judged by a panel of prepaid industry experts. Entrants in each age group will have the chance to win one of three gift card or voucher prizes up to the value of £150 (US$229). There also will be a group/school prize of £400 (US$610.68) for the winning student’s organization. Winners, awards and prizes will be announced Sept. 7. The winning gift card or voucher will be produced and go live in-store during the month of December. For more details, visit www.ukgcva.co.uk/competition.
