Interactive Data launches mobile data app
A new trading app has been launched by Interactive Data subsidiary eSignal, which promises to help traders use the iPad to obtain information and market data on the move.
A subsidiary of Interactive Data, eSignal is based in California. The firm’s technology is targeted at making it easier for traders to get access to real-time information. The service provides streaming information on markets, watch lists, charting and analytical tools.
Security is provided by having the same eSignal account to log on to desktop and mobile devices, so the user can only be logged in on one device at a time.
“As we begin to build a new generation of mobile products, our extension of eSignal onto the iPad and other tablets helps ensure that our customers have a platform that moves with them,” said Kyle Ford, general manager at eSignal. “eSignal Mobile uses HTML5, which will serve as an important standard for future mobile products for tablets and smartphones.”
