IntelliVoice Networks Inc., a provider of prepaid phone services, is broadening its array of offerings through a deal with Payteller LLC, a Boca Raton, Fla.-based provider of self-service kiosks offering financial services.
Payteller will install its kiosks in high-traffic retail locations throughout the Midwest and in Texas, according to an announcement. Payteller kiosks can be used for prepaid debit card loading, wireless top-up and bill payment with more than 12,000 billers, enabling consumers without traditional bank accounts to conduct their banking, financial and wireless transactions in one location.
“We saw kiosks as a key distribution channel when we were selling prepaid long distance cards. The Payteller machines are the natural evolution of this sales channel,” said Steve Bell, CEO of McKinney, Texas-based IntelliVoice. “With Payteller kiosks, we’re able to offer the consumers a wider range of services and provide retailers with a virtual mall of products without the need for expensive shelf space, training or inventory.”
