Visa Europe has named Nicolas Huss president and CEO. He will join Visa Europe from Apollo Group, where he currently is chief executive, Avant Spain and Ireland, on Oct. 1, 2013. Huss has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Apollo, he worked for Bank of America as the MBNA European collections and portfolio optimization executive for the card business. Huss also has served as CEO Spain for GE Money and held several roles in different parts of Europe and Latin America for GE Capital.
After more than seven years as Visa Europe president and CEO, Peter Ayliffe has decided to step down at the end of September to concentrate on his expanding portfolio of non-executive roles.
