BAML makes Percy Baliwalla head of transaction services sales
Bank of America Merrill Lynch has made Percy Batliwalla global head of sales for large corporates and financial institutions in global transaction services. Batliwalla will remain in Singapore and report to Paul Simpson, head of BAML global transaction services.
Percy was most recently head of Asia Pacific GTS sales where he was responsible for sales management as well as developing and implementing an integrated strategy for GTS clients in the region. Prior to joining BAML in May 2010, he worked at J.P. Morgan for six years, most recently as head of Asia Pacific financial institutions – banks. A career banker, Percy’s prior experience includes a variety of roles in corporate banking, corporate finance, structured trade and corporate audit. He is a chartered accountant and an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in India.
“Percy’s deep experience in treasury and trade, strong leadership abilities and global perspective, make him perfectly suited for this role,” said Simpson.
