Fiserv Unveils Multichannel E-Billing Platform (Oct. 22, 2013)
Financial services technology provider Fiserv has launched a new platform that enables small- and medium-size billers to send electronic bills and accept payments through multiple channels. Dubbed Biller Advantage, the platform targets companies that send between 2,000 and 500,000 bills a month, according to Brookfield, Wis.-based Fiserv.
“Biller Advantage provides the functionality small- to mid-sized billers need and the choices customers want,” said Jardon Bouska, division president, biller solutions, Fiserv. “These companies can now offer branded, multichannel electronic billing and payment capabilities that may have been out of their reach before, boosting their professional appearance while reducing paper usage and operational costs and enhancing customer satisfaction.”
The platform, which also will be offered through financial institutions on a white-label basis, enables companies to send e-bills and accept payments via Website, mobile-optimized Website, automated phone system or telephone customer service center. In May, Fiserv released data showing that the number of mobile bill payments the company had processed for its biller clients had tripled over the previous 24 months, with easy access and convenience cited by consumers as the two leading attractors for mobile bill-pay.
