Ubiquity Raises $4 Million to Fund Continued Global Expansion, Tech (Nov. 14, 2013)
Ubiquity Global Services has raised more than $4 million in Series B funding from existing investors to support its global expansion and additional technology investments, the business process outsourcing company announced yesterday. The funds also will be used to scale operations to keep pace with the growth and customer demand since Ubiquity’s founding in 2012, according to an announcement. Last year Ubiquity announced a multiyear deal to provide customer service for Russell Simmons’ RushCard. The funding round follows last month’s launch of a domestic center in Omaha, Neb., and further expansion of Ubiquity’s centers in El Salvador and the Philippines.
The Series B financing was led by the Pritzker/Vlock Family Office and Elon Boms will join the board as a representative from Pritzker/Vlock.
“Since our founding, we’ve rapidly expanded our client base and our capabilities,” said Matt Nyren, Ubiquity’s founder and president, who spoke with Paybefore on customer service strategies to increase loyalty in our Fall 2013 issue of Pay Magazine. “Today’s funding allows us to accelerate our expansion and invest heavily in our successful technology platform and related products.”
