Better ATM Services Expands Footprint through Reseller Network (Dec. 5, 2013)
Visa prepaid gift cards and Discover multimerchant gift cards will be available in more ATMs in the Southwest this holiday through a reseller agreement between Better ATM Services and Express Teller Services announced yesterday. This is the first reseller agreement for Better ATM Services and it enables third-party ISOs and IADs to offer ATM-issued Visa gift cards and other prepaid products to financial institutions. Express Teller Services is a Phoenix-based provider of financial service products for financial institutions and retailers throughout the Southwest. After a successful pilot with Visa and Express Teller Services last fall, Better ATM Services got the green light for a national rollout with Visa.
As a result of the new pact, Visa prepaid gift cards and Discover MyGift multimerchant gift cards initially will be offered at three First American Credit Union locations in Arizona and New Mexico. First American Credit Union expects to roll out on a wider scale soon, according to the release.
Better ATM Services CEO Todd Nuttall said the new reseller network marks another important step forward in expanding the adoption of the company’s patented technology. “This is a significant first step in expanding the partnerships within our certified participant network,” Nuttall explained. “It allows resellers to increase their profitability and bring new, desirable functionality to ATMs nationwide.”
Better ATM Services received a 2013 Paybefore Judges’ Choice Award for its technology, which enables any financial institution to offer thin, durable branded gift cards through their existing ATMs. The service is now live in Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C., New Mexico and Arizona, and Nuttall tells Paybefore that additional rollouts are planned in the coming months.
