DCR Strategies Inc./TruCash Partners with Carta to Launch Mobile Payments (April 3, 2014)
Program manager DCR Strategies Inc./TruCash and technology provider Carta Worldwide soon will be launching payment solutions, such as NFC mobile payments, virtual prepaid and integrated loyalty programs, using conventional payment methods and host card emulation (HCE), which emulates an NFC card in the cloud.
Over the next month, DCR and Carta will make these payment solutions available to retailers and corporations in the U.S., Europe, Canada and Latin America.
The solutions will help businesses engage with their customers more efficiently through mobile channels, according to an announcement. And, by partnering with Carta, the Mississauga, Ontario-based incentive, rewards and loyalty company will be able to innovate and quickly deliver solutions, while minimizing cost and time associated with integration and system upgrades.
“Carta’s next generation payment and processing solution allows us to be nimble and responsive to our customers, enabling us to deliver the most innovative new payments products for rapidly changing business environments,” said DCR President Diana Fletcher. DCR serves as program manager of Virgin Mobile’s Visa prepaid card program, which received a 2014 Paybefore Award in the Top Motivator category.
