Cachet App to Expand FirstView’s Mobile Presence (June 10, 2014)
On the heels of its March acquisition of the moneto mobile payment platform from DeviceFidelity Inc., Minneapolis-based remote deposit capture specialist Cachet Financial Solutions announced it will be developing a prepaid mobile app for cardholders of FirstView, an Atlanta-based program manager and processor.
The app, to be implemented this summer, will be built on Cachet’s cloud-based Select Mobile Money platform and branded for each of FirstView’s consumer reloadable, payroll and small business check cashing clients, according to an announcement. Features will include account management, transaction history, card-to-card transfers, location-based technology to identify nearby reload locations and surcharge-free ATMs, and check-to-card loading of instant funds.
In an effort to enhance its mobile presence, FirstView “chose Cachet because their technology and the application’s ease-of-use ensure the best possible customer experience,” said FirstView CEO Trent Sorbe. “We required a mobile experience that preserved our clients’ brand and allows for the highest level of cardholder engagement.”
Cachet has been expanding its prepaid and mobile offerings rapidly over the past year, including the launch of Select Mobile Money last October and the integration of its RDC technology with Ingo Money’s Good Funds Network a year ago.
