People on the Move: David Marcus, Facebook
David Marcus has joined Facebook as vice president, messaging products. He will be leading the company’s mobile messaging efforts. Messaging is a core part of Facebook’s service and key to achieving its mission of making the world more open and connected, the company said. Marcus, who launched his first startup company at the age of 23, previously served as president of PayPal. In 2011, he joined PayPal as vice president of mobile and was responsible for leading PayPal’s mobile payments business.
