Blackhawk, Amazon Launch Mobile Wallet Features (July 30, 2014)
Blackhawk Network and Amazon today announced they are providing consumers with ways to spend and better manage their gift cards (from dozens of major retailers and restaurants) using the Amazon Wallet app. When Amazon customers load information from physical and digital gift cards into their Amazon Wallet, they can view card balances from the app or online, as well as redeem gift cards online or present them in-store from their smartphones. The app comes installed on Amazon’s new Fire phone and also is available for download to Android phones running 4.0 or above.
