i2c Sets up Singapore Location to Meet Growing Asia-Pacific Demand (July 9, 2014)
i2c Inc. has opened a Singapore office to address the growing market for prepaid products and mobile financial services in the Asia Pacific region. i2c’s client base in the region is growing as consumer demand increases for flexible prepaid and mobile financial solutions, according to Scott Salmon, i2c general manager, international. The payment processor already has programs in market in the area, including Japan, China, the Philippines and Australia. The office also gives i2c a physical presence to support its alliance with Visa in the region. The alliance was announced last year to support prepaid market growth in global markets, including Asia Pacific, Central Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The Asia-Pacific region includes successful, established and innovative prepaid programs, with a mix of some untapped, or recently tapped, areas for growth, according to industry experts.
