Stripe Launches in Australia, Testing in Scandinavia (July 29, 2014)
Payments processor Stripe Inc. has ventured into the Asia-Pacific region by launching its services last week in Australia. Founded in 2011, San Francisco-based Stripe offers tools enabling e-merchants to begin accepting payment cards on Websites and mobile apps, using special APIs that eliminate the need for setting up a merchant account or dealing with banks. The company also announced it has started testing its product in Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
