paysafecard Debuts Prepaid MasterCard (Aug. 13, 2014)
Online payment voucher provider paysafecard has launched a new prepaid MasterCard, giving customers of the Vienna-based company a way to pay for offline purchases, as well. The card can only be loaded via paysafecard voucher PINs and can be used to make purchases online or in stores and to make cash withdrawals at ATMs. The company also released a youth version of the card for users under 16, which requires parental consent and can be used only to purchase age-appropriate items.
“paysafecard MasterCard expands the paysafecard product portfolio enormously,” said Udo Müller, CEO, paysafecard. “More and more, users value prepaid cards allowing them to enjoy the convenience of paying by card, while retaining optimal control over their finances.”
