People on the Move: Melanie Barker, The Members Group
Des Moines, Iowa-based payments processor The Members Group has appointed Melanie Barker chief operating officer and executive vice president. Her predecessor, Cynde Urness, retired in May. Barker will be responsible for supporting strategic planning and execution to enhance TMG’s profitability, productivity and efficiency. She also will be a resource for TMG’s senior management team, providing foresight for the continued growth of the company into new markets. She has served in various leadership roles within the financial institution, insurance and payments industries.
