People on the Move: Paul Waltz, SHAZAM Network
The SHAZAM Network, a Des Moines, Iowa-based debit network, has appointed Paul Waltz president. Waltz, who had been serving as the company’s executive vice president and chief operating officer, will retain his COO position. He has spent more than 30 years working with community financial institutions in Iowa, most recently with First American Bank in Fort Dodge, Iowa, as chief operating officer. He also has held a variety of positions on the SHAZAM board of directors, including chairman. The company also announced that CEO Michael Hollinger will be retiring in August 2015.
