Green Dot Expands Retail Footprint with ACE Cash Express Deal (Oct. 20, 2014)
Longtime NetSpend partner ACE Cash Express has signed a distribution agreement with Green Dot Corp., making the check cashing giant and Paybefore Award-winning prepaid pioneer an authorized retailer for the Green Dot Reload Network. Green Dot Network-enabled prepaid cardholders now are able to reload cash to their cards at ACE’s 1,500 locations in 35 states. In addition, ACE will begin selling Green Dot-branded products next year. Green Dot’s recent expansion into financial services center (FSC) retailers in the U.S. has been met with strong retailer and consumer demand, according to an announcement. In the past year, Green Dot has gone from no distribution in the FSC channel to nearly 3,000 locations.
