LSC Picks Cachet for Prepaid Mobile Support (Oct. 9, 2014)
League Service Corp. (LSC), a national credit union service organization, has tapped Cachet Financial Solutions to power its prepaid mobile application, which currently is offered by 900 credit unions. LSC will use Cachet’s Select Mobile Money platform, a cloud-based service that offers a mobile prepaid card account with mobile management features, including remote deposit capture (RDC) for check-to-card loading, along with mobile messaging and analytics. Last month, Cachet added guaranteed instant account funding to Select Mobile Money through an expanded partnership with Ingo Money.
The platform will support a pair of LSC prepaid programs—a GPR card and a travel card—and is aimed at helping credit unions deepen prepaid customer relationships and extend card lifespans. “This will allow credit unions to offer an even more attractive product to their members and help them compete for their members’ business. Helping credit unions compete is our mission,” said George Fiegle, COO, LSC.
