People on the Move: Vasant Prabhu, Visa Inc.
Visa Inc. has announced the appointment of Vasant Prabhu as executive vice president and CFO. Prabhu joins Visa from NBCUniversal Media LLC, where he served as CFO, overseeing the company’s finance function as well as the operations and technical services division. In his new role, Prabhu will report directly to Visa CEO Charles Scharf and be responsible for the company’s financial strategies, planning and reporting, in addition to all finance operations and investor relations. Prabhu also has served in executive roles with Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Safeway Inc., The McGraw-Hill Companies, PepsiCo. and Booz, Allen & Hamilton. He succeeds former Visa CFO Byron Pollitt, who previously announced plans to retire.
