Mobey Forum, Biometrics Institute and Natural Security Alliance join forces to promote biometrics for digital services
The Biometrics Institute, Mobey Forum and Natural Security Alliance have launcehd a cross-association collaboration to promote the use of biometrics in digital services. The organisations plan to have their inaugural meeting, on biometrics for non-government services, in Paris on 1 July.
The international Biometrics Institute is known for its expertise in bringing together the industry as a whole including end users, suppliers and academics. It has been working with the industry as an independent body since 2001.
Mobey Forum, the global industry association focused on mobile financial services, has championed the use of biometric authentication through its Biometrics Workgroup, and will provide attendees at the event with exclusive insights from a forthcoming white paper and international banking survey, schedule for publication later in in the summer.
Natural Security Alliance’s biometric strong authentication standard makes it possible for users to access electronic services (e.g. online and in-store payments, cash withdrawals, online banking, FIDO services, identity management) with the guarantee that they will retain full control of their biometric data and that their privacy will be protected.
Isabelle Moeller, chief executive of the Biometrics Institute stated, “The Biometrics Institute is known for the delivery of high-quality discussion meetings for its over 180 members with the aim to shape the future of the biometrics industry. Collaborating with two other recognised industry bodies provides a fantastic opportunity for our members to engage with other sectors and regions and promote the responsible use of this technology.”
