NBPCA to Recognize Industry Member with Terrence P. Maher Influencer Award (May 11, 2015)
The late Terry Maher, former partner at Baird Holm LLP and general counsel for the NBPCA, who passed away unexpectedly last August, was more than a colleague to many in the prepaid industry. In honor of his tireless work on behalf of the industry, the NPBCA is further cementing Maher’s legacy by establishing the Terrence P. Maher Influencer Award. The accolade “recognizes one individual for his/her dedication and passion in driving the prepaid industry forward,” according to the association.
“Terry was one of the brightest minds in the payments industry and an extremely close friend of mine—that makes this award so bittersweet,” Brad Fauss, interim executive director and general counsel of the NBPCA, tells Paybefore. “While I am still extremely sad about his passing, it is only fitting that we name this award the Terrence P. Maher Influencer Award in his honor.”
The award will be presented during the Power of Prepaid, which is being held in Washington, D.C., June 11-12, 2015. Click here for more information on the nomination process. Nominations are due by 5 p.m. EDT, Monday, May 18.
