People on the Move: Bob Mengani, Chartwell Compliance
Chartwell Compliance has hired Bob Mengani as senior compliance director. Mengani will serve as a mentor, adviser and subject matter expert to Chartwell on regulatory compliance, regulatory relationships, problem-solving and business administration. His career with the New York State Department of Financial Services spanned more than 36 years and his tenure there has enabled him to serve throughout the department’s various operating divisions—one of which was assistant deputy superintendent for licensed financial services since 2008, where he oversaw 12 examiners and dealt with six different nonbank industries, including money transmitters and check cashers.
