People on the Move: Bastien Latgé, EMVCo
EMVCo, the EMV technical body collectively owned by American Express, Discover, JCB, MasterCard, UnionPay and Visa, has appointed Bastien Latgé to the newly created role of director of technology. Central to his role will be overseeing internal technical developments across EMVCo’s working groups, and he will also place significant emphasis on representing EMVCo in its liaison work with other technical bodies to ensure effective collaboration and industry alignment in EMVCo’s technical matters. Latgé, who has more than 15 years of experience in the payments industry, previously served as mobile software products director at INSIDE Secure. He’s also worked at Smart Consulting and Gemplus, now Gemalto.
