People on the Move: William Fields, NXT-ID Inc.
NXT-ID Inc., a biometrics authentication company focused on mobile commerce, announced that William Fields has joined its advisory board. During Fields’ 25 years with Wal-Mart, he has served as president and CEO of Wal-Mart Retail Stores Division, where he was responsible for more than 2,000 stores and 300,000 employees, generating $68 billion in annual revenues. He also was assistant to Wal-Mart founder, Sam Walton, senior vice president of distribution and transportation and executive vice president of Wal-Mart Inc. Fields also served as CEO of Blockbuster Entertainment Group.
