SIX Payments appoints new chief executive
Jürg Weber has been appointed as the new division chief executive of SIX Payment Services and a member of SIX Group executive board as of today.
The 54-year-old Swiss national (right) has substantial international experience in the card business, and was responsible for strategy and business development for a number of different companies.
He is the founder and owner of Golden Horn Management, where he worked from 2000 to 2015. Prior to that, he was chief executive of Benkar, part of Boyner Holding, based in Turkey, from 1997 to 2001 and consultant and partner at McKinsey & Co from 1992 to 1997, where he was responsible for establishing a McKinsey office in Turkey. In his former roles as chief executive, he launched new credit cards, set up credit card programmes and established an organisational structure for credit cards within a bank.
