People on the Move: Paul Townsend, Saxo Payments
Saxo Payments, a global transaction services provider, appointed Paul Townsend as non-executive director. Saxo has 15 years of experience in electronic payments and more than 20 years working in mainstream banking. Currently managing director of Vitesse PSP, which he established in 2013, Townsend’s e-commerce payments experience includes the role of chief strategy officer at Worldpay, where he was part of the e-commerce senior management team as well as a member of the company’s senior leadership team. He was responsible for geographical expansion, working from the company’s London office. He also was a founder and chief operating officer of Envoy Services.
