People on the Move: James E. Staley, Barclays
Barclays PLC and Barclays Bank PLC has appointed James E. Staley group CEO. He will begin this role, and join Barclays’ boards as a director, effective Dec. 1, 2015. Staley has nearly four decades of experience in banking and financial services. He worked for more than 30 years at J.P.Morgan, initially training as a commercial banker and later advancing to the leadership of major businesses involving equities, private banking and asset management, and ultimately heading the company’s global investment bank. Staley is currently managing partner of BlueMountain Capital.
