People on the Move: Thomas Scanlon, Davis Wright Tremaine LLP
Thomas Scanlon has joined the financial services and payments practice groups at Davis Wright Tremaine, where he will practice mostly in the firm’s office in Washington, D.C. For more than 15 years in private practice and public service, Scanlon has advised clients on transactions and compliance matters relating to financial services regulation, particularly involving consumer financial products or services. He previously served as senior counsel at the Department of the Treasury and counsel at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. Scanlon also worked for Morrison & Foerster LLP, assisting banks, investment funds and other clients with banking and payments transactions, and compliance with data security and privacy laws.
