Company on the Move: CFPB, Advisory Board and Councils
The CFPB is accepting applications for membership in all of its advisory groups. The bureau is looking for experts in consumer protection, community development, consumer finance, fair lending and civil rights as well as consumer financial products or services. The CFPB also is looking for representatives of banks that primarily serve underserved communities and representatives of communities that have been impacted significantly by higher-priced mortgage loans. And, the CFPB is accepting applications from current employees of credit unions and community banks as well as academics who are experts in research methodologies, framing research questions, data collection and analytic strategies. Seven seats on the consumer advisory board will become vacant in the fall of 2016, eight seats on the community bank advisory council will become vacant in the fall of 2016 and eight seats on the credit union advisory council will become vacant in the fall of 2016.
