BPC’s SmartVista powers Warehouse Money cards, vendor’s largest retail project
BPC Banking Technologies says New Zealand’s largest retail chain – Warehouse Group – has chosen the SmartVista payments suite for its financial services business.
The initiative is called “Warehouse Money” and offers the retailer’s consumers the chance to save 5% on purchases via a new Visa card or earn “purple dollars” via the Purple card.
The new line of card products was initially launched country-wide prior to the Christmas season and following this the company says it received an “impressive flow” of applications for new cards.
SmartVista provides card issuing, card management and customer billing for Warehouse Money, and the implementation was done in-house.
Mark Yeoman, group CFO and head of Warehouse Financial Services, says: “The implementation was completed quickly and there was a strong partnership developed between our in-house teams and the BPC team.”
He adds: “While not without its challenges as all complex IT projects have, this was one of the cleanest implementations that I have been involved in.”
Rajan Narayan, MD, BPC Banking Technologies Asia Pacific, says the project with Warehouse is the “largest retail project for us so far”.
