People on the Move: Stephen Stout, FT Partners
Payments and fintech investment firm FT Partners has hired Stephen Stout as managing director in the firm’s New York office. An industry veteran with more than 18 years’ experience in payments and fintech investment banking, Stout comes to FT Partners from First Data, where he served as global head of strategy. While at First Data, he spearheaded the company’s IPO, which was the largest equity offering in the U.S. in 2015. Prior to First Data, Stout spent eight years as a senior investment banker at J.P. Morgan, where he was a lead adviser on high-profile fintech deals, including the IPOs of Visa, Vantiv, Green Dot and FleetCor. He also advised on numerous M&A deals, such as Visa’s acquisition of Cybersource, Vantiv’s purchase of Litle & Co, and the spinoff of TSYS from Synovus.
