Dassault Systemes launches KYC/AML challenge for start-ups
French software firm Dassault Systemes is inviting start-ups to apply to its “3D Fintech Challenge” to address anti-money laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) issues.
As part of its overall 3DExperience Lab initiative, the seven-week programme will identify and help nurture six start-ups that can provide systemic warnings and a 360-degree view of customer/support management and internal/external data analysis in KYC and AML.
Dassault Systemes says it wants to “reduce complexity in the face of increasing regulation and to enable customer centric innovation”.
The programme will run from 5 October to 22nd November 2016 and will offer mentoring by senior executives from global financial institutions.
There will be an “immersive” curriculum of classes given by domain experts, covering UX and interface design, intellectual property rights, marketing, licensing agreements, legal structure and pitching and presentation best practice.
Other benefits cited by Dassault Systemes include enrolment into the IBM Global Entrepreneurial Programme, giving access to free cloud hosting; and support from University College London’s (UCL) postgraduates to cover any resource or technical gaps.
Dassault Systemes says there will be an opportunity to showcase solutions to an audience of venture capitalists, private equity firms, industry experts and senior executives and journalists.
Winners will receive additional mentoring and introductions to Dassault Systemes partners’ and the challenge mentors’ networks, across other global fintech hubs.
Start-ups can apply here. The closing date is 16 September 2016.
