Company on the Move: Locke Lord LLP, Chambers UK Rankings
The recently published Chambers UK 2017 legal ratings recognized several Locke Lord LLP lawyers as leading practitioners in their respective practice areas and recognized two of the firm’s U.K. practice areas for excellence.
The firm’s cards and payments team was recognized as “a strong team with good industry knowledge,” receiving a Band 2 ranking by Chambers in the area of financial services: payments law. Robert Courtneidge, the firm’s global head of cards and payments, also earned an individual Band 1 ranking. (Bands range from 1 to 6, with 1 being the best.) Courtneidge was praised for his “good technical knowledge, excellent commercial awareness and effectiveness and good client service.”
Locke Lord’s U.K. consumer finance practice, led by London partner Joanne Davis, received a Band 3 ranking. Davis maintained a Band 2 individual ranking and was praised for her knowledge in asset finance and consumer credit regulations. In addition to Davis, London partner Kevin Heath was also recommended by Chambers for his experience handling consumer finance litigation and received a Band 3 individual ranking in consumer finance.
