Fix8 Market Tech to provide global market connectivity to Saxo Bank
Saxo Bank has opted for Fix8 Market Tech’s Fix8Pro solution as part of its new market connectivity engine.
The bank’s CTO, Michel Andre, explains the choice: “Fix8Pro offered us a lightweight turnkey fix engine as a component that we could integrate easily into our framework and solution.”
He adds that it has also enabled faster time to market without sacrificing either flexibility or execution speed, which is often the case with “more heavy handed frameworks”.
Fix8 Market Tech was founded in 2013, with offices in Sydney and Moscow, and regional support in the US. Among its key offerings is Fix8 – “a free, open-source framework that developers can use to build FIX applications using any FIX version”. The company’s founder, David Dight, describes it as a FIX “sandbox”.
“We operate in the spirit of FIX which is a free, open-source language that anyone can use,” he states.
