People on the Move: Shazia Manus, TMG
Shazia Manus, CEO of payments processor The Members Group (TMG), has been recognized by her alma mater, Iowa State University (ISU), for her commitment to driving economic growth in the financial services industry. Manus was named the recipient of the ISU Department of Economics Public Engagement Award, which is given to one distinguished individual each year. Manus was presented with the award by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at its annual Honors and Awards Ceremony at the ISU Alumni Center.
Manus graduated from ISU in 1998 with a degree in economics. Since beginning her career in the financial services industry, she has served as an advocate for the advancement of more women in leadership positions and acted as a mentor for several young professionals. Earlier this year, she was named one of the Most Influential Women in Payments by PaymentsSource magazine. Since joining TMG in 2011, Manus has led record growth for the payments processor, which now services seven of the 13 largest credit unions in the U.S.
