JN Fund Managers in digital tech revamp with Objectway’s Conectus
JN Fund Managers (JNFM) has chosen Objectway’s Conectus solution for digital communication and reporting on clients’ investments.
JNFM, a wholly owned subsidiary of Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS), will use interactive collaboration tools such as chat, video call and screen-sharing. Investors will also be able to make requests digitally and place trade orders.
Sharon Whitelocke, deputy general manager of JN Fund Managers, says with the implementation its clients “will be able to tailor our services and the delivery of same, whether in person, video chats or messaging”.
Objectway says Conectus will “enrich and diversify” the presentation of statements, investment reports, portfolio changes and performance with graphics and charts. Investors can do this via mobile phone, tablet, laptop or desktop.
The JN Group offers various financial services, including mortgages, wealth management, pension fund management and administration, investment banking, credit facilities, individual retirement schemes and investment advisory services. JNFM has clients distributed across Jamaica, the Caribbean, US, Canada and the UK.
Amsterdam
Last month, Banking Technology attended Objectway’s International Customer Conference in Amsterdam.
The firm took the opportunity to showcase a new branding and new products. These include Optimo – for model portfolio construction; Sure – a suitability rules-based engine which covers MiFID II; and Hybrid Advisory – which allow customers to start their investment experience online and later decide to continue with a personal advisor.
There is also a focus on the greater integration of the solutions Objectway offers. The company has grown largely via acquisitions, so there is a need to bring together disparate systems.
For the UK market, for example – where the vendor acquired 3i Infotech’s business in 2014 (Rhymesight, Fiscal and Altimis) – Objectway promises an integrated front-to-back office solution. Rhymesight’s well-established back office system, Quasar, is being integrated with Objectway’s eXimius portfolio management solution as well as with Conectus for digital channels.
