New mobile bank Pepper goes interactive with Playbuzz
Bank Leumi’s new mobile banking subsidiary, Pepper, is working with digital authoring platform Playbuzz “to enhance user experience and engagement through personalised content”.
Content created with Playbuzz’s suite of interactive formats, such as polls, quizzes and flip cards, will be embedded into Pepper’s banking app. The app will be launched in Q1 2017.
Shaul Olmert, CEO and co-founder, Playbuzz, feels interactive content “fits naturally” into the financial industry. “Pepper did not initially aim to provide an entertaining experience, but using Playbuzz as part of the dialogue between Pepper and its customers, makes the holistic experience of banking more enjoyable,” he explains.
Lilach Bar-David, CEO of Pepper says its research shows that less than 50% of millennials use mobile banking apps. “If we can produce clear content that will make people understand what they have, their credit and payment options, and provide them with alternatives, we can create a banking experience that people will like and want to return to.”
And it will also be useful for the bank, she feels, as it will enable it “to learn more about customer satisfaction, the degree of suitability for the customer and other features of interest to Pepper users”.
