EY to acquire Australian cybersecurity firm Open Windows
Consulting firm EY will acquire Australian cybersecurity and identity and access management (IAM) provider Open Windows.
EY says Melbourne-based Open Windows’ expertise and tools will form the basis of a new Asia-Pacific regional IAM advisory platform within EY, to help assess, design, build and operate solutions.
Lynn Kraus, Oceania managing partner advisory, EY, says it “will be investing in people and assets to build on this regional capability” – and its “clients will benefit from access to integrated identity management advisory expertise, rather than having to engage a multitude of suppliers”.
Open Windows CEO, Simon Adler, will lead the new platform. It will provide Identity-as-a-Service (IDaaS) in addition to EY’s existing identity governance capability.
Open Windows was founded in 1994. According to the firm, it works with 150 organisations across federal, state and local governments; and with companies in Australia and New Zealand. It has offices in Perth, Sydney, Canberra and Hobart, and employs 85 people.
