Ghana’s Premium Bank opts for NetGuardians’ anti-fraud solution
Ghana-based Premium Bank has selected NetGuardians’ anti-fraud solution FraudGuardian.
FraudGuardian uses a “patented big data model to correlate and analyse human behaviours across the entire bank system including eBanking, service channels, IT systems and financial transactions”. The firm says it can help banks prevent fraud in a proactive manner. FraudGuardian will integrate with the Temenos T24 core banking system in operation at Premium Bank.
Premium Bank CIO, Emmanuel Annoh, says FraudGuardian “will watch over the bank’s employees and customer activities, enabling our risk personnel to prevent fraud before it happens” – and it was “impressed by how intuitive and user-friendly FraudGuardian is and found that its additional modules can support the bank as we continue to expand our digital channels”.
The implementation of FraudGuardian will be carried out by Global Solutions, NetGuardians’ local partner.
Formerly known as City Investment Company (CIC), Premium Bank received regulatory approval to begin operating as a bank in 2016. It focuses on the SME sector.
