Sumeet Ajmani Joins Nova Credit as General Counsel
Nova Credit Inc., a cross-border credit bureau, has announced that Sumeet Ajmani is joining Nova as general counsel. Ajmani will lead Nova’s U.S. and international legal, regulatory and compliance function as Nova Credit continues to expand its offering of international credit data that helps global citizens access credit in their new homes.
Ajmani has spent his career focused on financial regulation and expanding consumer credit opportunities, with stints at FICO, the Federal Trade Commission, the Federal Reserve Board, and most recently, at Credit Karma leading its legal and compliance teams.
Nova Credit enables lenders and landlords to access global credit data instantly through a single API integration and, in effect, allows consumers to transport and use their financial identity around the world. This model relies on a complex management of international laws and regulations, as Nova Credit builds the rails for its global Credit Passport.
