Homelyfe helps Hoocht hone home insurance
UK-based digital mortgage adviser Hoocht has added Homelyfe’s home insurance to its artificial intelligence (AI) powered services.
Homelyfe offers a “four-minute home insurance purchase” that uses “quote to buy” technology and data analytics.
Hoocht, which launched in November 2017, will use this service to complete mortgage applications in “as little as 15 minutes using online chat and AI”. Like others in this space, it aims to make applying for a mortgage “as quick and easy as online shopping”.
Hoocht founder and MD Rich Wynn says people have a “real appetite for digital mortgage solutions, as an alternative to the more traditional and time-consuming options available to them”.
Homelyfe is now accessible from Hoocht’s website.
Not home alone
As reported in February, Homelyfe launched its “Partner Platform” to offer third party firms access to its product lines and to provide home insurance cover.
The platform means that third parties can implement Homelyfe’s technology and insurance buy flow within their own digital domains and “earn commissions”.
According to Homelyfe, a typical banking app offering home insurance would require the consumer to fill out over 60 third-party insurance questions to even get a quote.
With its new offering, the same banking app could use data it already has on the customer to pre-fill information where appropriate and “virtually remove all questions in that buying journey”.
