Tinkoff Bank to launch new development hub in Sochi
Russia’s Tinkoff Bank and the Talent and Success Foundation have teamed up for a new development hub in Sochi.
Elena Shmeleva, head of the Talent and Success Foundation, says they will “develop new products and process flows that harness the power of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, together with the foundation’s Sirius Centre graduates”.
As part of their deal, the innovation centre of the Talent and Success Foundation will serve as a platform for Tinkoff’s new development hub, “bringing more high-tech jobs to the market”.
In addition, the innovation centre’s team will be involved in testing Tinkoff’s products.
The foundation will participate in Tinkoff’s educational projects, and graduates of its training programmes will have the opportunity to enrol in internships and secure employment with the bank.
They will also carry out joint R&D projects and “work towards a better regulatory framework to support innovation”.
The duo signed the cooperation agreement on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum.
Love and lendtech
Also from the same forum, Tinkoff and SME Bank signed a cooperation agreement.
Tinkoff has become SME Bank’s agent providing transaction support services with regard to the partner’s SME lending programmes.
It means that companies applying for loans will be able to get Tinkoff’s support.
This will include application monitoring, document collection, verification and execution, and customer consultations. In consideration of these services, SME Bank will pay Tinkoff a commission.
Tinkoff adds that the one-year contract “may be extended upon mutual agreement of the parties”.
