BPCE, Natixis and TransferWise team for affordable cross-border remittances

TransferWise, Natixis Payments and Groupe BPCE have partnered to enable Banques Populaires’ and Caisses d’Epargne’s customers to send money to over 60 countries at the real exchange rate.
This will affect 15,1 million individual active customers, and will be the first European mobile banking app integration of TransferWise’s API.
The result of this partnership, to be launched early 2019, will be the possibility of sending money 24/7 via the banks’ apps outside the Eurozone at TransferWise’s usual fee.
This partnership is one of the many ways it the French bank Groupe BPCE is embracing digital innovation, and part of its TEC 2020 strategic plan.
“Integrating fintech services in our customer journey is an integral part of Natixis Payments’ DNA and know-how, allowing us to build better payments every day,” says Pierre-Antoine Vacheron, member of the senior management committee of Natixis, in charge of payments.
He adds: “This integration is a concrete use case of Instant Payment, of which Natixis Payments and Groupe BPCE are frontrunners.”
