Myanmar’s Shwe Bank ups mobile offer with JMR Infotech
JMR Infotech has completed its internet and mobile banking project with Shwe Rural and Urban Development Bank in Myanmar, aiming to leverage tech investments in the bank’s business goals.
“After an intensive evaluation process, we selected JMR Infotech due to their impeccable track record of delivering successful banking technology engagements,” says Sai Aon Sai Mein, CTO, Shwe Bank.
JMR was tasked with “enhancing and customising” the Oracle Flexcube Direct Banking (FCDB) solution, making it more efficient and its internet services more scalable.
JMR also focused on the bank’s customer experience features, including payments, mobile recharge and single sign-on for retail and corporate users.
The bank also uses Flexcube for its core processing (the deal was signed in 2014).
JMR Infotech has helped other banks adapt to Oracle FSS’ Flexcube system. Recently, FinTech Futures reported on Nepal’s Janata Bank data movement.
Shwe Bank is a privately-owned bank founded by Myanmarese conglomerate Shwe Thanlwin.
