Al Salam Bank Bahrain revamps mobile banking with Clayfin
Al Salam Bank Bahrain (ASBB), an Islamic bank in Bahrain, has launched a new mobile banking solution underpinned by Clayfin’s technology.
The two parties already have a long-standing relationship.
The vendor says the new app ensures “a seamless omnichannel experience” for customers across of the bank’s digital channels, as well as introduces new biometrics features, such as fingerprint and Face ID (facial recognition).
Clayfin’s CEO Kannan Ramasamy states that customers of ASBB will now have “a unique and unparalleled experience in their interactions with the bank”.
ASBB was the first bank in Bahrain to launch a mobile banking app back in 2011, notes Anwar Murad, first deputy CEO of ASBB.
The new mobile banking app was launched in “record time” as a result of Clayfin’s “immense experience in digital banking”, Murad adds.
Clayfin (formerly Vayana) is based in Chennai, India. It provides digital banking solutions for retail, corporate and SME banking businesses, and has been in operation since 2000.
At the end of last year, it went through a rebrand and entered 2018 with a new name – Clayfin.
Its customers are primarily based in the Middle East and Asia, and include Alawwal Bank in Saudi Arabia; and Dhanlaxmi Bank, Jana Small Finance Bank, and PMC Bank in India.
