Jaja Finance teams with ASDA for JajaPay launch
Consumer credit company Jaja Finance has teamed with ASDA for the launch of its white-label facility JajaPay.
Walmart’s UK subsidiary ASDA will offer customers credit on George.com under the brand ASDA Flexible Payments.
Matt Collinge, head of ways to pay at ASDA, says: “We reviewed the market to find the best launch partner for this proposition and recognised the Jaja solution to be the best fit for our customers and for us as a business.”
JajaPay allows online retailers to use credit provision at the checkout to “engender loyalty and incremental sales among online shoppers”. It uses Visa for payment processing.
ASDA is using ASDA Flexible Payments to offer a credit facility to anyone shopping on George.com, the retailer’s online clothing, furniture and toys store.
Jaja reckons there has been a shift away from traditional store cards over recent years and for some retailers issuing a branded credit card alone has proved to be ineffective in driving loyalty as they can use in any store or website.
“We’ve updated the store card for the 21st century, doing away with the plastic, allowing a better relationship between the retailer and their customer,” comments Neil Radley, CEO at Jaja Finance.
Radley adds that it is in discussion with a number of major brands.
