Buzzvault app jumps into insurtech space
UK home insurance app Buzzvault has launched offering a personal asset vault to let users digitally catalogue and store details of their possessions.
London-based Buzzgroup is behind the free app. It also offers Buzzmove – a price-comparison and booking site for moving home; and a video tool Buzzsurvey.
In its latest busy (or buzzy if you like) chapter, Buzzvault has gone live today (10 December) and works by allowing users to catalogue what they own in “under 15 minutes” to ensure the coverage.
The firm says the app is “hyper-personalised” meaning the vault is unique to each user. Documents can be searched; and details can be amended and updated anytime.
On its website it says if users need to claim, they don’t need to dig out the policy documents. However, customers do need to ring a number to make a claim.
Buzzvault is authorised and regulated by the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority.
Buzzgroup was founded in 2014 and has raised over $14 million in investment, including a $7.8 million round led by White Mountains Insurance Group.
Becky Downing is the CEO and founder of Buzzgroup. Her previous experience is very much in the legal world – namely as a freelance lawyer and an associate solicitor.
